Banana and Mango Yogurt Smoothie
Submitted by: KILLERANGEL47Introduction
Rich, thick smoothie that is easy to make and will fill you up! :D I have put it in the dessert section because that’s when I have it, but it would be a great breakfast smoothie too. Ingredients
-
1 small banana
0.5 cup of Coles Lite Milk
0.25 cup of apricot nectar
1 tablespoon of plain coco
1 tablespoon of flaxseed (linseed) meal
100g (approximately 4 heaped tablespoons) of Tamar Valley Classic Mango Yogurt. You can try the No Added Sugar version to cut down the calories a bit. Personally, I think that stuff tastes even better! If you don't live in Tasmania (or Australia), just use any brand of low fat yogurt.
Directions
Grab a small banana and chop it up into slices. Pour the milk, apricot nectar and yogurt into the blender. Then put in the banana. Always put the liquid ingredients in first, or the dry stuff will get stuck on the sides of the blender and you end up having to stop to scrape it off. Then add the coco and the flaxseed meal. Turn on the blender (with the lid on, obviously! XD) and keep it on for two minutes. Pour it into a large glass coz it will be a lot of smoothie! :D
Serves 1, or you can split it with someone else if you want.
PS
The strawberry version is great too! Use the same method and ingredients described above, just substitute the banana with a few strawberries and swop the mango flavoured yogurt for a strawberry or boysenberry flavoured one. XD
