3 cups of Red River cereal
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup dark molasses
3 cups hot water
Combine molasses and hot water. Stir mixture into dry ingredients. Cover and let stand from 2 hours to overnight.
Preheat oven to 275F or 135C.
Spoon mixture into a greased loaf pan. Cover with foil and bake for 3 hours or until firm.
Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
Makes 1 loaf.
