I made this on a football playoff game day. Perfect. I added an extra V-8 and served with low fat shredded cheddar. Next time, I will add garlic and spices to the turkey as I'm browning and add a can of kidney beans, just because I like them in chili. Very easy, tasty and low fat recipe. - 1/24/11

I just finished my first bowl. Yummy! The only change was I added a can of kidney beans for extra protein and fiber. I want another bowl! - 11/25/10

This was really good. I had turkey leftover from thanksgiving so I used that instead. And it made some yummy chili. - 1/25/09

This is my FAVORITE recipe I have found on here. The best part for me is I can make dump everything in a Crockpot and leave it for 4 - 5 hours and when I get home I have a great meal. Thanks for the recipe. I am making it again this weekend. - 11/27/10

I made this today. It was really good! The only thing I changed was that I added onions and celery, and I put sriracha on the turkey when I browned it. It came out really, really good. - 12/3/09

  • Delicious and so simple!! I couldn't find mexcan style stewed tomatoes so I used regular stewed tomatoes. I added garlic powder and onion poweder to the turkey while it was cooking and again to the slow cooker. My family loved it and didin't even realize they were eating turkey. - 1/22/13

  • Delicious! I used chunks of left-over turkey instead of ground. I also added a little diced onions and bellpeppers at the end so they would be crunchy. - 11/26/12

  • This recipe is fantastic! I've made it twice, with no changes....don't mess with perfection! My whole family loves it (& they don't realize how healthy it is!) You can garnish with sour cream and/or shredded cheese. - 2/27/12

  • This was fabulous. Easy to assemble and toss in the crockpot, waiting on me when I got home from work...delicious! Will definitely make again! I, too, added a can of kidney beans, as other reviewers suggested, and it worked perfectly. Great recipe! - 2/14/12

  • I made this for a Christmas party and everyone liked it, including the kids! Super easy to make. I have a texture aversion to stewed tomatoes, so I used tomato sauce. The only other change I made was to add one can black beans and one can chili beans. Will be making this again and again! - 12/13/11

  • Fantastic! To cut sodium, I used dried beans and replaced the seasoning mix with a Tbsp of cumin, salt to taste, and a whole head of garlic with just the top sliced off. Because I needed more liquid (dried beans) I added an extra can of V8, some water and some chopped tomato. My family LOVED it! - 10/26/11

  • Great taste! I used leftover turkey from Thanksgiving and also used Garden Vegetable juice instead of V8. Very tasty recipe!! - 10/14/11
