Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    1. Tofu- 1/2 a package, firm

    2. Kosher salt or sea salt- 0.3 tsp

    3. Cooking oil- 1 tbsp ( i use olive oil for most of my cooking, so that is what i used in this dish)

    4. Korean soybean paste- 1 tbsp ( i believe if you cannot find the korean soybean paste, you can also substitute it with miso paste)

    5. Egg, large- 1

    6. garlic clove- 1 chopped

    7. sugar- 0.4 tsp

    * these are ingredients that you can put in, but i did not have them so i did not. It still tasted great without these ingredients but here they are:

    1. dry onion flakes- a dash

    2. cooking wine- 2 tbsp

Directions

1. In a mixing bowl, place the soybean paste, egg, garlic, sugar, and mix it well.

2. Take your tofu out of the package and give it a quick rinse under cold water and soak the water up with a paper towel.

3. On a cutting board, slice the tofu in half and place one half of it away for storage. You can then slice your tofu on your cutting board to 6 pieces.

4. Add your salt to the tofu, and if you still have excess water on the tofu, you can get another paper towel to remove it.

5. In a heated frying pan of medium heat, add the oil, you can add your tofu after the oil is heated.

6. After about a min or two, you can flip your tofu to cook on the other side.

7. Spoon over the sauce mixture onto the tofu, one side at a time, while the heat is on low.

8.After coating it all, you can put it onto a serving plate.

*** For those who have the dry onion flakes you can add the flakes ontop of the cooked tofu, after it is placed unto the dish***

***For those with the cooking wine, that should be placed into the mixing dish of the sauce.***

Enjoy! =)
