Crustless Deep Dish Pizza



Introduction

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 lb lean ground turkey
    1/2 cup italian bread crumbs
    1/2 cup dry nonfat milk
    1 clove garlic minced
    1 tsp dried basil
    1 tsp dried oregano
    1 tsp dried parsley
    1 tsp dried thyme
    2 cups 2% or fat free mozzarella
    1.5 cups light spagghetti sauce
    1 red bell pepper, finely diced

Directions

Preheat oven to 350*. Spray glass pie dish with Pam .
In a large bowl add turkey, milk, breadcrumbs, garlic, herbs, bell peppers, 1 cup cheese, and 1/2 cup of sauce. Mix together until well incorporated, should be moist but not runny. Add more breadcrumbs if needed.
Place mixture into pie dish & smooth top. Cook for 20-30 min or until no longer pink in center.
Remove from oven, drain any liquid from dish. Add remaining sauce and cook an additional 5 min. Remove and add remaining cheese, cook 5 min longer or until cheese is melted.


**note**
If you add the sauce and the cheese to the top at the same time the cheese will become greasy, adding them seperatly helps to avoid this problem, it is worth the extra step!
