Chex It Out Peanut Butter Marshmallow Squares

Ingredients

    6 cup corn chex cereal
    1 cup raisins
    3/4 cup chocolate chips
    3/4 cup peanut butter
    1/2 cup butter
    1 pkg Large marshmallows 10 ounces
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Makes 32 squares/rectangles
In a large bowl mix cereal, raisns and chocolate chips.

In a heavy 5 quart pot combine peanut butter and butter. Place over low to edium low heat and stir until melted and well blended. Add marshmallows and salt; stir until melted and well blended. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, Immediately add cereal mixture and and quickly stir until cereal is well coated.
Using lightly buttered spatula, quickly spread mixture evenly and firmly in greased 13 X 9 inch baking pan. Let stand until completely cooled. Make ahead Cover pan with foil and store at room temperature for up to 3 days and then cut into squares.

  • I made this replacing Corn Chex with Shreddies...only because we don't have Corn Chex in Canada....it is YUMMY!!! My son is very picky and LOVES it...
