Ham and Cheese Quiche - Low Fat

Introduction

Just using a basic quiche recipe, but making it low fat. Just using a basic quiche recipe, but making it low fat.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1- 9" frozen pie crust
    1/2 Cup diced cooked lean ham
    1/2 Cup Shredded Fat Free Cheddar Cheese
    1/2 Cup Fat Free Half n Half
    1 Cup of Egg Beaters (Can use 4 Eggs - but its higher fat)
    1/2 Cup Fat Free Parmesan Cheese
    1 tsp dijion mustard
    1/8 tsp black pepper
    1/8 tsp salt

Directions

Press Pie Crust into 9inch Pan. Combine ham and cheese and spread in bottom of pie crust. Stir together Egg Beaters and Half n Half. Gradually adding in all the other ingredients.

Pour egg mixture over ham and cheese layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Always fill quiche to the slightly below top of pie pan - it will barely rise. TIP: Don't over-cook the quiche will continue to cook during cooling process and become solid. If you over-cook it may have a deflated look when it cools down.

Cool 10-15 minutes. Serving size is 1 slice. Makes 8 servings.
