Chocolate Torte

Ingredients

Cake:
1 bag (6 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c unsalted butter
1/2 c all-purpose flour
2 eggs, separated
1/2 c granulated sugar
Glaze:
1 oz unsweetened baking chocolate
1 tsp butter
1 c powdered sugar
4-6 tsp boiling water
Directions
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 9" springform pan. In 2 qt saucepan, melt chocolate chips and 1/2 c butter over med high heat, stirring frequently. Cool 5 minutes. Stir in flour until smooth. Stir in egg yolks until well blended.
In a large bowl, beat egg whites with electric mixer on high speed until foamy. Beat in granulated sugar, 1 tbsp at a time, until soft peaks form. Fold chocolate mixture into egg whites. Spread evenly in prepared pan.
Bake 35-40 min or until top appears dry and cracked. Cool 10 minutes. Run knife along side of pan to loosen cake; remove side of pan. Cool completely. Place cake on serving plate.
In 2 qt saucepan, melt chocolate and 1 tsp butter over low heat, stirring frequently. Stire in powered sugar and water until smooth. Drizzle glaze or top of cake.
