Katie's Oatmeal Chocolate Chip

Introduction

Similar to Quaker's Vanishing Oatmeal cookies, with some whole wheat flour and chocolate chips. If you want raisins instead, add a teaspoon of cinnamon! Ingredients

    1 cup butter (softened)
    1 cup light brown sugar
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
    1 cup white flour
    1/2 cup whole wheat flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3 cups oatmeal
    1 cup chocolate chips(semi-sweet or milk chocolate works, I like to mix the two)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Mix butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. In another bowl, mix flours, soda, salt and oatmeal. Begin adding the dry mixture to the butter/egg mixture and add the chips towards the end. I use a melon baller to scoop cookie dough and the cookies turn out perfect. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until they are slightly browned. Makes 48 cookies, so 48 servings per recipe
