Beef and Bean Chili from scratch

Introduction

This uses 80/20 ground beef, from scratch chili seasoning, low salt tomato sauce and low salt diced tomatoes. We like it spicy to adjust the chili powder and Tabasco to suit your taste. Ingredients

    1 lb ground beef, turkey or chicken (I used ground beef in this recipe)
    1 15 oz can Kidney Beans with juice
    1 15.5 oz can Cannellini Beans
    2 - 8oz cans tomato sauce
    1 14.5 oz can Diced Tomatoes
    1 cup chopped Onions
    1/2 cup chopped Green Peppers (bell peppers),
    3 cloves minced Garlic
    few dashes Tabasco Sauce
    1/5 cup water

    from scratch chili seasoning
    grated chocolate
    Cilantro if desired
    grated cheese if desired.

Directions

Brown ground meat in skillet, drain, add garlic and saute a few minutes. Add 2 TBS home made chili sesasoning and mix well.

While beef is cooking, place chopped onions, bell pepper, beans, diced tomatos and sauce, tabasco in a crock pot sprayed with non stick cooking spray. Mix well.
Add 2 TBS of chili seasoning and mix again.

Add cooked beef and mix well. Season to taste.
I added 1/2 square finely grated chili chocolate square for something different.

Cook on high for 6-8 hours.

Serve topped with cilantro or cheese.

1 serving can equal 1 cup or 2 cups. USE COMMON SENSE WHEN ESTIMATING A SERVING SIZE!
