Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1.5 pounds round steak
2 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup (Fit & Active brand)
    1 1/4 cup water
1 medium onion, peeled and sliced
    1/2 cup white flour
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp pepper
    1/2 tsp garlic powder
    Crisco 0-calorie butter spray

Directions

Heat a skillet over high heat.

In a medium bowl, mix the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Trim any excess fat from the meat. I started with a package of round steak that was marked as being 1.75 pounds. After trimming off the excess fat, it came to 1.5 pounds when I weighed it.

Cut the steak into 1-2 inch pieces (1 ounce pieces so a serving will be 4 pieces of meat)

Dredge the meat in the flour mixture.

Spray the skillet with butter spray and put the meat on top of it. Spray more butter spray on top of the meat.

Brown the meat on both sides. Once browned, layer it in the bottom of your crock pot.

Layer the onions on top of the meat.

Mix the cream of mushroom soup and water in a bowl and pour over the meat and onion.

Cover and cook on low for approximately 5-6 hours, or until the meat is tender.

1 serving = ~4 ounces of meat with sauce; 6 servings
