Apple Bars

Ingredients

    .25 cup butter
    .25 cup unsweetened apple sauce
    .75 cup sugar
    1 egg
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    .5 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 cup apples, peeled and diced

Directions

Grease and flour 8x8 inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, mix melted butter with sugar, applesauce, and egg. Mix in flour, baking soda, and cinnamon, and then stir in apple.

Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, or until a small knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
