48oz and 32oz box of Swanson's low sodium broth
2 cans of diced tomatoes
1 can garbanzo beans
1 package mushrooms
Jennie-O lean turkey Italian sausage (spicy or sweet) 5 links
3 fresh garlic cloves
dried basil flakes
dried tarragon flakes
dried fennel seeds
Add sausage, chicken broth, diced tomatoes, garbanzo beans mushrooms, minced garlic and spices to pot. Simmer over med-low heat for about and hour.
Boil and drain tortelllini. Add tortellini to soup after the soup is finished simmering and has cooled off a bit.
The soup gets better after it has sat for a while, because the cheese from the tortellini mixes with the broth and makes it taste richer.
