Perfect Apple Pie

Ingredients

    1 pkg. refrigerated pie crusts
    3/4 cup sugar
    2 tbsp flour
    3/4 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/8 tsp nutmeg
    6 cups (6 medium) thinly sliced peeled apples

Directions

1. prepare pie crust as directed on pkg for two-crust pie using a 9 inch pie pan
2. Heat oven to 425 degrees. In large bowl, combine all filling except apples. Mix well. Add apples, and toss gently to mix. Spoon into crust-lined pan. Top with second crust; seal edges and flute. Cut slits or shapes in several places on top crust.
3. Bake at 425 degrees for 40-45 min or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
