One Bowl Brownies w/ Pumpkin

Introduction

This recipe is modified from the back of the Baker's Chocolate square's recipe. This recipe cuts the butter in half and replaces it with canned pumpkin. The result is a very chocolately, cake-like brownie. This recipe is modified from the back of the Baker's Chocolate square's recipe. Ingredients

    1/3 cup of unsalted butter
    1/3 cup of canned pumpkin
    4 Baker's Unsweetened Chocolate Baking Squares
    1.5 cups of sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    3 eggs
    1 cup flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan. Add the chocolate and butter to a microwavable bowl and microwave on high for 2 minutes or until melted. Stir in the pumpkin until the mixture is smooth. Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Stir in the flour in three equal portions making sure each portion is completely stirred in before adding the next portion.

Pour mixture into the greased pan and spread it out evenly. Bake in oven for about 30 - 35 minutes. Use the fork test to determine if the brownies are done. Let the pan cool for about 10 minutes and cut into 1-1.5 inch squares. This batch should make about 24 brownies.
