Cranberry Chutney

This is my GrandMa's version of a Cranberry Chutney she had on Cape Cod.Fragrant and chunky, perfect for spooning over turkey, mashed potatoes or stuffing. It's also great to serve over the Ala' Mode part of Pumkin Pie Ala' Mode.

Number of Servings: 10
Ingredients

1 cup water
1/3 cup honey
1 cup apples - peeled, cored and diced
12 oz. fresh cranberries
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
Directions
1) In a medium saucepan combine the water and honey.
2) Bring mixture to a low boil over medium heat. Add the
cranberries, apples, cider vinegar, raisins and spices.
3) After Chutney returns to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer gently for 10 minutes stirring often.
4) Pour mixture into a mixing bowl. Cool to room temperature and serve (or cover and refrigerate).\
5) Bring chutney to room temperature before serving.
