Whole Wheat Waffles

Introduction

A healthier version of Belgium waffles, mostly because it uses whole wheat flour. Substitutions will make this even lower in fat/calorie, but waffles can be touchy, so be warned! Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1-1/2 c wheat flour
    2 t baking powder
    1/2 t salt
    2 T sugar (or use splenda)
    1 large egg
    1-1/2 cup 2% milk (can use non fat)
    1/3 c butter or oil (can use applesauce)

Directions

Cook for 4-5 minutes in hot waffle maker. Yields 8-10 waffles.
