Basic Lentil Soup

Introduction

Didn't have many ingredients around the house. This was on the back of the bag, but I just changed actual ham to ham flavoring. So half of the bouillon listed above is ham flavor and the other half is chicken. Didn't have many ingredients around the house. Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 cups lentils (16 oz bag)
    2 tbsp olive or canola oil
    1 bouillon ham flavoring (2 tsp)
    1 buuillon chicken flavoring
    1 onion
    2 medium carrots
    2 gloves garlic
    8 cups water

Directions

Wash and rinse lentils. In sauce pan, fry up the onion, carrot, and garlic in the oil. In separate pot, start water boiling. When boiling, mix in lentils and other ingredients. The onions, etc. should be soft. Turn the hit to a simmer; let simmer for about 30 minutes or until lentils are tender and soup thick. May have to add a little more water if needed.
