Introduction

This is a spin off of a recipe that Ben saw on Spark People... actually, I think he just liked the spicy italian sausage... extra bonus that it is TURKEY! And very yummy, gotta try this! Ingredients

    Jennie-O Hot and Lean Italian Turkey sausage, 3 links, thawed (if frozen) and removed from casings
    *Del Monte Petite Cut Diced Tomatoes, 25.5 oz. can
    Onions, raw, 1 large, diced
    Garlic, 2 cloves, minced
    Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
    Salt and pepper to taste (our calculations were for 2 tsp of salt)
    Red pepper flakes 1 tbsp
    *Whole Wheat Penne, 1 Lb, cooked
    Parmesan Cheese, grated, 1 cup (or to taste... calculations are based on 1 cup per 8 people)

Directions

Heat oil in a large pot. Add onion and garlic and saute until softened. Add sausage and cook until browned. Drain the excess grease from the sausage. Add in the seasonings, and the tomatoes. Cook for 20 minutes and season as you go (to taste). Pour sauce on top of cooked pasta and sprinkle with cheese. Ooh la la!
