Cream Style Tuna

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    3 cans of water packed tuna, drained
    1 cup chopped onions
    1 cup chopped celery
    3 TBS soft margarine
    2 cups milk
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp lemon pepper
    3 cups frozen peas

Directions

Saute celery and onions in 1 TBS of margarine in saucepan. When golden, remove from pan. Add drained tuna to the vegetables.
Melt remaining margarine, add flour and cook til golden. Add milk, salt and pepper and whisk til thickened. Add to tuna mixture. I set it aside at this time. Just before serving I add the peas and then heat til hot. We like it served over whole wheat toast.
