Garlic-Dill Twists

Ingredients

    Ingredients:

    twists:
    Water, tap, 0.25 cup
    Granulated Sugar, 0.25 tsp
    Granulated Sugar, 4.5 tsp (1.5 tbsp)
    Yeast, bakers, 0.25 ounce
    Sour Cream, 0.75 cup
    Butter, unsalted, 2 tbsp
    Egg, fresh, 1 large
    Baking Soda, 0.25 tsp
    Salt, 0.5 tsp
    *Flour, white, 3 cup

    garlic butter:
    Butter, unsalted, 2 tbsp
    Garlic, 1 tsp
    Dill weed, fresh, 0.25 cup sprigs

    topping:
    Butter, unsalted, 1 tbsp
    Sea Salt, 1 tsp

Directions

1. Combine water, 1/4 tsp sugar and yeast in small bowl; let stand 10 mins or until bubbly and foamy.

2. whisk sour cream, 2 tbsp butter, egg, baking soda, rem 1.5 tbs sugar, and salt in large bowl. Stir in yeast mixture and flour. On lightly floured surface, knead 8-10 mins or until smooth. Roll dough into 24x6 in rectangle.

3. Combine 2 tbsp butter and garlic in small bowl, spread over dough, leaving 1/2-in border. Sprinkle with drill. Fold in half crosswise; cut crosswise into 24 (1-in) strips. Hold strips at both ends and twist until 4-5 inches long. Place 2-in apart on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Press ends down onto baking sheet; cover and let rise 60 mins or until doubled in size.

4. Heat oven to 375 F. Bake 12-15 mins or until golden brown. Remove from oven. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with sea salt.
