Low fat, Low Sodium Beef Chili

Introduction

Homemade Chili made with 93% lean ground beef and low sodium tomatoes. Homemade Chili made with 93% lean ground beef and low sodium tomatoes.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    2 lbs. 93% lean ground beef
    3 regular cans low sodium tomatoes
    2 cans Bush's best low sodium pinto beans
    Chili powder--2 tablespoons or to taste
    Garlic powder--2 tablespoons or to taste
    Black pepper--to taste
    Dash tabasco--to taste
    1/2 tsp Morton's lite salt

Directions

Makes 8 approx. 1 cup servings or divide recipe into 8 equal servings.

Brown 93% lean ground beef until all redness is gone, using a non-stick skillet. Add all dry seasonings to taste. Put beef in a large saucepan--add tomatoes, pinto beans and cook over high heat until Chili is reduced, then continue cooking over low heat. May be refrigerated and reheated if necessary.
