Homemade Meatballs

Introduction

I like to make a batch and then freeze them. They can be taken out and used in many recipes. I like to make a batch and then freeze them. They can be taken out and used in many recipes.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    700 gm ground beef, lean
    1/2 cup onions
    1/3 cup oats
    1 tbsp basil
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp pepper
    1 egg

Directions

Makes about 40 small meatballs.
Preheat oven to 375 F
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Shape into small meatballs by scooping out portion with tablespoon and rolling between your hands.
Place each meatball onto a rack which is placed on a cookie sheet.
When meatballs are all formed, place rack & cookie sheet into the oven for @ 15 minutes, until meatballs are cooked.
remove from rack onto paper towels to blot up any remaining fat.
