Introduction

i found this tahini free, high in MUFA recipe on line and wanted to share it. I have modified it a bit, but with humus you can do that! i found this tahini free, high in MUFA recipe on line and wanted to share it. I have modified it a bit, but with humus you can do that!
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    4 cups soaked and cooked garbanzo beans
    3-4 tbls extra virgin olive oil
    8-10 garlic or jalapinio stuffed green olives ( or 10 manzinilla olives)
    juice from 1 or 2 fresh squeezed lemons
    1/2 cup cilantro
    dash of garlic salt
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

4 cups garbanzo beans soaked and cooked.
Blend the beans in a food processor with the olive oil, any green olives (try ones stuffed with jalapinios or garlic), cilantro, lemon juice, cumin, garlic salt, salt and pepper to taste and mix until smooth in consistancy.
*for a smoother consistancy add olive juice, more oil or water.
This recipe can be modified to meet several spices to liking.
