Apple Crisp

Introduction

This fruity dessert is thick on apples and light on topping. This fruity dessert is thick on apples and light on topping.
Number of Servings: 15

Ingredients

    12 Jonathan apples
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 t. ground cinnamon
    3/4 t.ground nutmeg
    1/4 t. ground cloves

    Topping:
    3/4 stick margarine
    3/4 c. flour
    3/4 sugar
    1 egg

Directions

1) Core, peel, and slice apples.

2) Mix together 1/4 c. flour, 1/2 c. sugar, and spices. Add to apples and let set while mixing topping.

3) Mix topping ingredients: flour, sugar, and margarine -- blend and toss with fork until crumbly. Stir in egg.

4) Spray casserole dish with cooking spray. (I use Pyrex 11 x 7 1/2.) Put apples in, then spread topping on. Bake 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

Makes 15 servings.
