3 lbs (5-6 whole) kohlrabi; trimmed, peeled and sliced thinly
1.5 cups milk
3 tablespoons All-purpose flour
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
2 oz. smoked ham, sliced thinly
1 cup fresh bread crumbs
Salt & Pepper to taste
Heat milk, add flour and stir to make bechamel sauce. Remove from heat and add cheese, ham, and seasonings. Stir to mix thoroughly.
Place kohlrabi and sauce in baking dish, cover with bread crumbs, and bake 30-40 minutes on 400 degrees F.
