ginger steak salad marinade

Ingredients

    2 T tamari
    1 T rice wine vinegar
    2 T mirin
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1 T brown sugar (i used raw sugar instead)
    20oz ribeye or sirloin steak

Directions

Mix all the marinade ingredients and pour into a ziplock bag. put steaks in the ziplock bag and squeeze all the air out and seal. marinate in the fridge for at least 30 mins or longer.

Heat heavy bottomed pan or the barbeque. once hot pour in olive oil. cook the steaks 1-2 min per side for rare-medium rare. season with salt and black pepper and set aside to rest on a covered plate for 5 minutes.

slice the steak into thick slices 1 cm thick and arrange on top of platter. top with remaining dressing and sprinkle spring onions over top.
