Introduction

Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    2 cans of Original RoTel
    1 28-oz can of whole tomatos
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 clove of garlic
    1 jalepeno pepper
    1/4 tsp sugar
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp cumin
    juice of 1/2 a lime
    1/2 cup of chopped cilantro (to taste)

Directions

Chop garlic, jalepeno (I leave the seeds in for a little heat), onion, and cilantro. Add in a blender with all other ingredients. Pulse blender to desired texture. Refrigerate for at least one hour. Makes 12 servings.

  • We adore this salsa! I generally use mild Ro-Tel and don't add the seeds of the pepper, since my kids like it less hot. Additionally, I think you can leave the salt out if you're eating it with salted chips. Fantastic recipe! - 4/11/13
