5 Bean Turkey Chili

Introduction

I like to start with dry beans to reduce the sodium and keep the flavor. I like to start with dry beans to reduce the sodium and keep the flavor.
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1 cup each of these dry beans:
    Great Northern
    Red Kidney
    Pinto
    Black Beans
    White Beans
    1 pound ground turkey
    1 onion
    2 tbsp chili powder
    1 tbsp cumin seeds
    1 6 oz can tomato paste
    1 quart canned tomatoes or 3 large tomatoes chopped

Directions

Soak the beans overnight. Rinse and put in pot. Cover with water plus some extra. Brown turkey and onion and add to pot. Add tomato paste, tomatoes cumin & chili powder. Cook until beans are done.
