Brownie Pie

Introduction

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Butter, salted, 1 stick
    Granulated Sugar, 1 cup
    *Wheat flour, all-purpose, enriched, calcium-fortified, .25 cup
    Baking chocolate, unsweetened, squares, 2 cup, grated
    Vanilla extract, imitation, alcohol, 1 tsp
    Salt, 1 dash
    Egg, fresh, 2 large

Directions

Melt butter and baking chocolate for one minute in microwave.
Stir until both are melted.
Add flour, stir until smooth.
Add sugar.
Whisk eggs, add to mixture.
Add salt and vanilla.

Pour into a greased pie tin.
Bake at 350* for 30 minutes.

Tastes awesome with vanilla ice cream or Charlotte Rouse.

  • I think I would be inclined to leave the recipe as is and increase the number of servings. Since it is so rich, I think shrinking the portion size would be OK. I'd rather have a tiny bit of a really good desert than a bigger piece of something not so good. - 11/14/10

  • As far as trying to make it less calories per slice (as from your blog) : I would suggest - egg beaters in place of real eggs and substituting fake sugar for some (if not all) of the real sugar. - 11/14/10
