Lunch Box Apple Cake

Ingredients

    Light Butter, Salted, 8 Tbsp
    Sugar, .75 cup
    Brown Sugar, .75 cup, packed
    Buttermilk, lowfat, 1 cup
    Baking Soda, 2 tsp
    Eggs, 2 large
    Flour, 2.25 cup
    Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp
    Nutmeg, ground, 1 tsp
    Apples, fresh, 2 cup, quartered or chopped

    Topping
    Sugar, .25 cup
    Brown Sugar, .25 cup, packed
    Almonds, .25 cup, sliced

Directions

Heat oven to 350
Lightly grease and flour 13X9" baking pan
In a bowl combing sugars and butter.
Beat on medium until creamy
Stir soda into buttermilk and add
Add eggs, flour spices & salt
Beat on medium speed until well mixed
Gently stir in apples
Spoon into prepared pan

Combine all topping ingredients in small bowl, mix well, sprinkle over cake

Bake 30 - 35 minutes
