6 oz red snapper, cut into small pieces
8 oz small or medium shrimp (remove shells, tails and veins)
4 tbsp fresh or 2 tbsp dried cilantro
1 tsp each salt and fresh ground pepper
1 cup of fresh lime juice
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes
2 green onions/scallions, finely minced
1 tsp fresh grated ginger
The lime juice will "cook" the fish and shrimp.
I serve this with a fresh salad and a nice slice of bread. We mainly eat this as an appetizer, but many eat this as a full entree for lunch or dinner.
