I made my own ham stock by using 8 cups of water, one ham bone, two bay leaves, two carrots chopped into 1 inch pieces, 2 stalks celery chopped into 1 inch pieces, and one large onion, cut into quarters

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Ham cubed, 1 lb all fat removed
    Carrots, raw, 3 large peeled and shredded
    Onions, raw, 1 large diced
    Celery, raw, 3 stalk, diced
    Black-eyed peas, soaked overnight, rinsed and drained
    *ham stock, 8 cup
    *Pick-a-Peppa Sauce, 3 Tbsp
    *Kosher Salt, 1 tbsp
    Butter, unsalted, 2 tbsp
    Olive Oil, 1 tbsp

Directions

melt butter and olive oil in saute pan. when hot, add onion, celery, and carrots and saute until soft, about 5 minutes.
In a large stock pock, add ham stock, softened vegetables, and all other ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer for 1 hour.
