Molasses Oatmeal Rolls

Introduction

This is my go to recipe for homemade rolls for family dinners. You could add 1 t salt if you like. This is my go to recipe for homemade rolls for family dinners. You could add 1 t salt if you like.
Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    2 cup of old fashion oatmeal
    1/2 cup dark molasses
    1/3 cup of shortening
    2 1/4 tsp yeast
    1 c warm water
    1.5 c skim milk
    4.75 cups of flour



Directions

Heat oven to 375, Grease 24 nonstick muffin tins lightly. Add shortening and molasses to mixer bowl. Heat milk to warm in microwave. Mix yeast in warm water. Pour yeast mixture in bowl. Use milk to "rinse" yeast cup and molasses cup so all gets in mixer bowl. Add two cups oats and then slowly add flour while mixing with bread hook. Let it mix on slow for 8 mind. Stop and push down flour from sides. Bake until browned. 15-20 mins
