Introduction

My personal take on the Green Monster My personal take on the Green Monster
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    6 cups fresh spinach
    1 tblsp flax seed
    1 tblsp soy protein powder (one serving = 3 tblsp, but I have found that 3 tablespoons gives the smoothie a sort of chemical taste)
    1/3 cup greek yogurt
    1/2 cup lowfat chocolate soy milk
    frozen fruit
    frozen banana
    frozen grapes

Directions

Begin with the spinach, powder, flax, soy milk and yogurt in the blender. Blend until smooth, then begin adding the frozen items slowly so as not to create a massive honking frozen iceberg of fruit that will kill your blender. Not that I have ever done this, you understand. No, no indeed. This will be a very thick smoothie. I usually eat it with a spoon, from a much larger cup.

    Yeah, it's not what you would call a "normal" serving. It's one of those "get me through the morning and well into the afternoon" type things. :-)
