Banana Walnut Whole Grain Hot Cereal (Clean, no sugar added)

Submitted by: IAMSHE-RA

Introduction

I love this breakfast! The banana gives it just the right amount of sweetness and the vanilla soy milk adds to the wonderful aroma. I actually just add all the ingredients to the heated soy milk in the morning and take it to work with me. It cooks on its own in my bag and then I just heat it up at work. Delicious and good for you!! I love this breakfast! The banana gives it just the right amount of sweetness and the vanilla soy milk adds to the wonderful aroma. Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

1/3 cup Bob's Red Mill 5 Grain Rolled Whole Grain Cereal
2/3 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Soy Milk
1 small very ripe banana, mashed
    1 tbsp chopped walnuts
    1 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

Heat soy milk in microwave and remove from microwave before boiling, about 1 minute. Add cereal. Let stand for 5 minutes in order for cereal to absorb soy milk. Add mashed banana, walnuts and cinnamon to cereal mixture. Return to microwave to continue cooking for about 1 minute. You may want to cook longer depending on how you like the consistency of your cereal. You can also alter the amount of soy milk, again, depending on if you like a thinner or thicker cereal. Makes 1 serving.
