Introduction

I found this recipe 40 years ago, and it is a great way to use up an extra head of celery. It also tastes really good. I found this recipe 40 years ago, and it is a great way to use up an extra head of celery. It also tastes really good.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    I head of celery, or 6 to 8 stalks
    12 mushrooms or as desired
    1 TBS of butter or olive oil
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/4 cup sliced almonds toasted lightly

Directions

Cut on the bias one head of celery, or 6 to 8 stalks.
Slice fresh mushrooms. Saute mushrooms in butter. Set aside. Cook cut celery in a small amount of salted water until tender crisp. Drain, add mushrooms. Toss with with almonds just before serving.
