Fava beans, fresh, 2 cup
Tahini, .25 cup
Ground Red Pepper, 2 tsp
- eastern African markets have a Hot powder that is Fab
Garlic, 2 cloves
Salt, 2 dash
Lemon juice, 3 tbsp
In a medium bowl, using a pestle or the back of a spoon, crush the garlic to a paste with a pinch of salt. Whisk in the tahini and lemon juice. Whisk in 1/4 cup of cooking water.
Pour the tahini sauce into a wide serving bowl. Mound the warm fava beans in the center and pour another .25c bean cooking liquid on top.
Makes 6 servings, just shy of 1/2 cup
