Sweet Cornbread

Introduction

You can do this in a loaf or in muffin tins. The recipe is off the back of the Quaker Cornmeal box You can do this in a loaf or in muffin tins. The recipe is off the back of the Quaker Cornmeal box
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 3/4 cup Yellow Cornmeal
    1 1/2 cup White Flour
    1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
    1/2 tsp Salt
    2 tsp Baking Powde
    1 large Egg
    1 cup Skim Milk
    1/4 cup Canola Oil

Directions

Combine the dry ingredients well. Beat the wet ingredients together just until the egg is beat into the oil and milk. Add the wet works to the dry works and beat till everything is combined. Pour into well greased bread pan or 12 muffin cups .

Bake at 400*F for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean, for bread. Bake for 12 minutes for muffins or until toothpick comes out clean.

Makes 12 servings of bread or 12 muffins.
