1/4 cup non-hydrogenated shortening (otherwise known as palm oil or coconut in a pinch)
1/4 cup canola oil
...3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup whole grain white flour
2/3 cup baking cocoa
Dash of salt
1/4 cup non-hydrogenated tub margarine
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2. Add egg and stir
3. Add vanilla and stir
4. Sift together dry ingredients and then incorporate
5. On lightly floured parchment paper roll until its about 1/8 inch thick
6. Chill for 1 hour. Cut using cookie cutters
7. in Preheat oven to 325
8. Bake for 20 minutes then cool and ice with filling
