Chicken Divan Dinner

Introduction

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    3 Tbsp margarine, divided
    4 bonless, skinless chicken breast halves
    1 package Rice-A-Roni creamy 4 cheese flavor
    1 can peas, drained
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    2 tsp garlic powder

Directions

Serves 4

In large skillet, over medium high heat, melt 1 tbsp margarine. Add chicken; cook 2 minutes on each side or until brown. Remove from skillet; set aside. In same skillet, saute rice vermicelli mix as package directs using remaining margerine. Add 2 1/4 cups water, specail seasoning packet, chicken, onion and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Cover; reduce heat to low. SImmer 10 minutes. Add peas to skillet and continue simmering 5 to 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and rice is tender.
