This was excellent. I added about 1 Tblsp of honey at the end and it gave it a nice sweetness. Served over brown basmati rice - good flavors. Will try frying and tossing in the leftovers tomorrow.
I made this yesterday as a "cook-ahead" meal for the week. It is wonderful!! I did not use the sesame seeds because I did not want my mother who has diverticulosis to have sesame seeds. So, I added a tablespoon of Sesame Tahini to intensify flavor and 3 chopped scallions to intensify color.
This was great. I cooked rice and threw it in with the chicken. Added a little more soy sause to flavor the rice. Mixed together. Added La Choy chow mein noodles to garnish. Will be making this again!
I don't think the calories are correct for this item. 1lb of chicken is about 750 calories, and by the time you add the other ingredients in I doubt It's going to be so low. Still sounds good though and is much healthier than take out.
This was delicious. My husband said it was one of the best things I've ever made! However, the nutritional info did not match what I calculated it to be. The calorie count seems to be for 1/2 what is listed as a serving.
This is the best non-fried sesame chicken recipe I've EVER tried (and I've tried a LOT). I added Brown sugar, and some splenda, as well as chinese 5 spice because I like mine sweet. Thank You! for posting this. I think I finally found a replacement for my sesame takout.
