Beef Stew - Crock Pot

Introduction

Basic Beef Stew. Serves approximately 13 - 1 cup servings @ 390 calories. Basic Beef Stew. Serves approximately 13 - 1 cup servings @ 390 calories.

Ingredients

    2 lbs stewing beef
    1 whole onion
    3 carrots
    3 stalks celery
    4 cups diced potato
    3 Tbsp corn starch
    3 cloves of Garlic
    1/4 cup flour
    5 Tbsp Olive Oil
    Pepper & Salt to taste
    6 cups water

Directions

Salt & Pepper Beef & toss stewing beef in flour to coat. Fry in 5 Tbsp oil until browned with diced onion.

Place all ingredients (except corn starch) in crock pot with 6 cups water. Cook on low for 7 hours. Just before serving, mix corn starch with 1 cup cold water and add to stew to thicken gravy.
