Asparagus Rollups

An easy and delicious alternative to bread with a veggie! An easy and delicious alternative to bread with a veggie!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 can Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls
    1 can Green Giant asparagus spears
    2 slices Kraft american cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Separate crescent rolls into 8 triangles. Fold american cheese slices in half, and then in half again to have 8 squares. Place a cheese square on the wide edge of the triangle (short side).

Drain asparagus spears. Divide the spears into 8 equal portions and place 1 portion horizontally over cheese at edge of triangle. Roll up crescent (with cheese & asparagus ) as tightly as possible toward point of triangle.

Place point side down on cookie sheet (a teflon pan or silicone sheet works great). Bake according to package directions for crescent rolls or until lightly browned (approx 11-13 minutes).
