Bean Soup with Ham

Introduction

This is a quick and easy recipe that I used when making bean soup in a restaurant I owned and operated. This is a quick and easy recipe that I used when making bean soup in a restaurant I owned and operated.
Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    2 lbs. of dry navy beans
    1 lb. of carrots. diced
    1 cup chopped onion
    2 cups chopped celery
    2 cups diced ham
    1 Tablespoon celery salt
    Others spices as you like

Directions

Wash bean and place in a soup pot. Add water until it covers the beans and is 2-3 inches above the beans. Turn heat up, add remaining ingredients and simmer until bean are softened.Add water and skim soup as needed.

Makes 24 servings of about one and a half cups each. More water can be added if desired to allow for larger or more servings.
