Introduction

This is a thrown together Stroganoff that my family enjoys. I use either ground beef or stew meat. The calculations are approximate as I was unable to determine exact information for the beef. Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    Egg noodles
    Stew Beef - 1 pound
    1 can - Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom Soup
    Sliced Onion (small-medium)
    Sliced mushroom (I used 4 fresh)
    Sour Cream - 1 cup
    Salt to taste
    Pepper to taste
    Lea & Perrins 2 tsp
    2 tbs flour
    Garlic 1 clove

Directions

Sautee onions & mushrooms & garlic in 1 tbs of oil
set aside

Brown beef in pan drippings, toss in flour
add cream of mushroom soup (3/4 to entire can depending on taste)
Heat through
add onions & mushrooms
Heat and then add 1 cup of Sour Cream

Serve over cooked egg noodles

  • I subbed greek yogurt for the sour cream and the sauce was very yummy, however, next time I make it I'll convert for a crock pot... the stew meat was way too tough. - 10/27/11
