Introduction

Basic split pea soup without ham. 10 minutes to prepare.
Very little stirring is required during the one-hour simmer.

Ingredients

    Sautee 4 large onions in 2T oil until almost clear.
    Add 2 lbs dried split peas
    15c water
    2 lb raw carrots, large chunks
    4t Better Than Bullion (chicken)
    2t salt
    1t pepper
    4T garlic

Directions

Sautee onions then add all other ingredients.
Simmer half-covered for about 1 hour, till soft. Stir now & then.
Makes 19 1-cup servings
