No Bake Chocolate Drop Macaroons (Mud Pies)

Submitted by: GIA_GREER

Introduction

These are super easy to make. I've made them vegan by replacing the white sugar with granulated raw cane sugar and replacing the milk with soy or rice milk. It doesn't affect the texture or taste at all. These are super easy to make. Number of Servings: 30

Ingredients

    Granulated Sugar, 2 cup
Cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened, .33 cup
    Butter, salted, .25 cup
    Milk, 2%, .5 cup
    Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
Instant, Quick, and Regular Oats Cereal, 3 cup, dry, yields
Coconut, sweetened, shredded or flaked, .5 cup
    Salt, 1 dash
(needs wax paper too - but don't eat that part ;op)

Directions

Combine sugar, cocoa, milk, vanilla and butter in in a pot or sauce pan. Heat on medium, stirring occasionally until boiled. Let boil for 1 min then remove from heat. Stir in rest of ingredients and right away use 2 spoons to pick up and drop about 30 cookies onto wax paper (will harden in the pot if left to sit). Leave out for 10-20 minutes to cool and harden. (If cookies are too dry, try boiling less time next time, and if too runny, boil longer next time). Makes 30 large cookies
