Ground Turkey Sloppy Joes

Introduction

a lighter take on traditional sloppy joes! a lighter take on traditional sloppy joes!
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    20 oz. Extra lean ground turkey (ground turkey breast)
    1 can white or pinto beans - drained and rinsed
    1/2 cup rolled oats
    2 14.5 oz cans tomato sauce
    2 packets sloppy joe mix
    3/4 cup water
    1 tsp worcestshire sauce
    16 100% whole wheat Sandwich thins
    sliced pickles (optional)

Directions

Makes 16 sandwiches - each with about 1/3 cup filling in them.

brown ground turkey, drain if needed. Add all other ingredients except pickles and sandwich thins. Simmer uncovered about 15 minutes until desired consistency. While simmering toast your sandwich thins. Put filling and pickles in sandwich thins and you are done!
