1 1/4 cp flour
3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
2 tbs sugar
1 tbs baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dried sage
1 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Grease cast iron skillet or 9inch square baking pan
stir together dry ingedients until well blended
whisk wet ingredients together until blended.
pour liquids into dry and mix until blended.
spread batter into prepared pan and bake for 18-20 minutes, until top is pale golden brown and knife inserted comes out clean.
cut into wedges to serve
